Mesdames Ktavelev, Neville, Wilson, Misses Moore. Lewis, and King, also to Mrs Morris for a handsome portiere. Our balance sheet shows a very creditable balance; this in spite of considerable extra expenditure in improving the club house and an additional subscription to the 1,.(L1 . shows careful management on the part ol the Executive.
The West Coast Championship meeting for 1927 was held on the Malininpua Links. With ideal weather conditions and good entries everything passed off most satisfactorily. The Ladies’ Championship was won hv Mrs Sloe of Westport and the men’s by our local champion, Mr Chesney. The catering at the links and also at the hall was in the capable hands of Mrs Preston and needless to say gave complete satisfaction. Our Club Championship was won hy Miss Moore and the Junior Championship hy Mrs Cagney who also played a score which gives her an earned L.G.L. handicap. Our inter-dub match with Greymouth was played at the Omoto Links on June 3rd and the Seddon Cup brought to Hokitika hy the team sent down. . . The Grevmoutli ladies were invited to play a friendly match on our links in July and your Committee had made all arrangements to entertain them. Unfortunately the weather conditions made it quite impossible tor them to come hut we hone another such match n,av he arranged for this year as these inter-club matches do so much good. We also think that with so many promising players it should he possible to get a second team of ladies to take part iu the Groymouth match on June 3rd in conjunction with the men's second team.
We wish to thank all the lady members who hy providing the Saturday afternoon teas contributed so substantially to our excellent balance. Our thanks are also due to the press tor their unfailing courtesy in publishing our reports and matches. We arc glad to welcome some promising young* players as new members
