Geoffrey Monerieff Gilchrist, a school hoy. aged seven years, died tit an early hour this morning, prestnnnibly as the result of injuries received when he was knocked down by a motor ear on 12th March. At the time ol the accident, the hoy was taken to the .Hospital, where ho was placed on tin' dangerously ill list. Ilis condition improved, and on April 2, lie was allowed to go home, where he again took ill and died.

An inquest was opened this morning. and evidence of identification was tnfcen. CAR SOM ERSAULTS THREE TIMES DUNEDIN, April 10. A taxi driver. The ear left the road and hurtled 50 foot down a hank Into the river. Mrs Karnta was pinned beneath the ear in the river, and was extricated with : onsiderahle difficulty.
