The first day of the Masterton R.C. autumn meeting was held to-day with a fairly good attendance, in fine hut dull weather. The course was last. The tote handled £11.170. against £12.189 for the one-day meeting last year. Results:—

Juvenile Handicap.— (1) Flying Hero I, (2) Millais 2, (8) First Ruler 3. Won by a nose. Time 1.2 1-5.
Lawn Handicap.—(3) I loins Bolus 1. (5) Aurora Borealis 2, (1) S'pearmiss 3. Won by a length and a hall. Time 1.11. Masterton Cup Handicap. —(H Vertigeru i. (5) Discourse 2, (3) Ring Roy 3. Won by a long neck, lime 2.i !-■>. A record for the race. Flying Handicap.—(!) Royal Damon 1, (5) Cel l' 2. (2) Sarebec 3. Won by iwo lengths. Time 1.13 1-5.
