Originally stressing prohibition as being the paramount residential election issue. Senator Borah, in a widely broadcast radio speech to-night, warned the .Republican Party that both the corruption and the prohibition issues cannot he avoided by them in the coming campaign. He said that it looked as if they were going to have a hitter campaign in which no man would he safe and no woman would he spared who came within reach of the firing line. It was proposed in this campaign by the leaders of both Parties to trade principles for votes. Tie added that corruption and prohibition were questions closely affecting the Constitution, and neither the Parties nor the voters could escape these issues.
