He climbs on tbe front axle and drives home the winner by a narrow margin. The finish of the race does not end Tom’s troubles. The desperadoes see that they are beaten. They try to loot the express company’s safe and kidnap the owner’s daughter. Torn mounts Tony, bis I a limits horse, and overtakes tbe robbers.
