RE-LICENSING OF MOTOR VEHICLES
Owners are reminded that no motor vehicle can be used on a public road or street after the Ist April unless the new year’s number plates are affixed. When applying for the new season’s plates, owners will help themselves and the Post Office bv attending to the following points:— (1) li the car lias been acquired during flip year, satisfy yourself that the vehicle has been duly registered in. or transferred to. your name on the official register at the Post Office. New plates are issued only to the registered owners or their representatives. (2) Carefully quote the number of the engine, chassis and the plates at present, on your car. (3) II applying for plates at an office other than the one at which the car is registered, produce your certificate of registration. This will save time and expense. A s the licensing year will, in future, ■ml on the 31st Alav instead of the (Ist .March, fees for 14 months are now payable. For an ordinary ear diese fees amount to C2 9s 2d. made ip as follows: Licensing fee for 14 months from Ist April. 1928. to 31st May, 1929. £2 fis id : number plates 2s (id : total C2 9s 2d.
