OBITUARY
MR, EDWARD TRAVIS. CHRISTCHURCH, March 18. Mr Edward Travis who died at his residence, Papanui road, at the age o 76, arrived in Canterbury with hi, parents in tht ship Joseph Hetcher in 18.51 being four years old on anna. He was educated at Gee’s Crammer School, after which he served bis time as a machinist with / the Lyttelton Times Company. Subsequently he went to Australia. joining the “Bulletin.” and later going to the Newcastle “Herald,” where he was in charge for 30 years. He Races one son. Mr Edward H. Travis. MR COLIN MACANDREW.
