LEAGUE FOOTBALL. (liy Telegraph—Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Alarch 16. The New Zealand Rugby League officially denied that there is any hitch in the arrangements for the English Rugby League team’s tour of the Dominion. It had been reported in a cable from England that the “Athletic News” had stated that, in spite of numerous requests, the New Zealand League had failed to supply the English team’s programme for a Dominion visit, and that this had resulted in much comment. An itinerary committee has already been formed in New Zealand and the English League has been informed by letter that three test matches will he played in the Dominion, including two at Auckland, as well as the usual provincial matches. The English team is due to arrive in Auckland at the end of July, and will remain in the Dominion for at least one month. The itinerary proposed comprises matches at Hamilton. Auckland (3>, Dunedin, Christchurch, Greymouth and Westport. If time permits there will he a match at Wellington. It is further stated, oil official information. that the English team will.leave Tilbury on April 20 for Australia. FOOTBALL. SYDNEY. Alarch 17. Speaking at a meeting of the Northern Suburbs Club, R.. 0. Alartin (Chairman of the Management Committee of the N.S.AIY. Rugby Union) announced that although arrangements were not yet completed, there is a possibility of New South Wales Rugby team touring New Zealand during the coming season.
