RACING.
GREXMOUTH JOCKEY CLUB. GREYMOUTH, Alarch 8. A meeting of the District Committee of tlie Groymooth Jockey Chib was held to-day, Air T. 15. Coates presiding. An extract from the report of Air C. H. Gorton, deputy stipendiary steward, in connection with the Greymouth Jockey Club’s summer meeting was forwarded by the secretary of the Racing Conference stating that M. Ivirwan, tlie rider of Prince Ferouz, was severely cautioned for crossing tho field directly after the start of the Otira. Handicap. The stewards knowing ho bad habits of this horse, decided that a caution would meet the case. The letter was received. Air Evans: Have you received an application from A. E. M'Alullnn to ride in work ? Air Ar. J. Fogarty: No. The Racing Conference has already refused this. Air Coates stated that tlie Racing Conference recently re-opened M’Mullan s case, but had refused his application on the further grounds of another alleged offence. ‘ Air Evans stated that he had spoken to M’Mullan about this. It bad boon alleged that Al’Mullan stole some harness. M’Mullnn told him that money was owing to him on the harness and he had taken it as payment. He advised M’Mullnn to place the facts before the conference and to write to the District Committee of tho Greymouth Jockey Club. On the motion of Afr Coates, it was decided to recommend M’Muilnn’s application to ride in work.
