Municipal reform candidates arc standing in every constituency, and there are 11)8 official Labour nominations, 22 Socialist extremists, four Independents and 82 Liberals.—British Official AVi reloss. LONDON, -March 9. The London County Council elections first result was from twentyfour Boroughs and the City of London shows gains and losses respectively as follows:—Municipal Reform 2—(i, Labour B—4, Liberal 3—5, making the position of the parties in the new council at present:—Municipal Reform 58, Labour 31, Liberal 5, compared with the old Council—-Alunieipal Reform 84, Labour 31, Liberal 6. The general impression is that the Liberal attempt to regain its former position has failed. The women candidates fared badly. Fourteen are thus far elected, and 44 rejected, cent ol 05. Air Ramsay MacDonald’s daughter. Tshbel, was successful at South Poplar. (Received this day at 9.30 a.m). LONDON. Alnreli 9. County Council final election results arc as- follows: — Municipal Reformers, three gains, ten losses. Labourites, thirteen gums. live losses. Liberals, three gains, lour losses. The state of parties is Reformers 77 Labourites 42. Li I '5. AVomcn members number 21. ' total being unchanged. Rummy MacDonald s son Malcolm topped the poll in Ltmehouse Division. Stepnov and joins lsl.be! in London County Council.
