BOXING.

(Australian it N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, March 10. The Stadium to-night sees the inauguration of Australian and New Zealand boxing championships, when Purdy (N.Z.) meets Jones (Australia) for the lightweight title. The " Guardian ” says Purdy is the finest boxer Australia lias seen, displaying ability to fight with an eagerness which is making him a big draw to the crowd. He is a remarkably clever boxer and amazingly tough.
