ANGLO-GERMAN TREATY.
LONDON, Afarcli 7. A Berlin correspondent reports: “Germany will denounce the AngloGerman Trade Treaty at the earliest possible date, with a view to securing a fresh basis, for trade,” said Curtius (Minister of Economic Affairs), agreeing with deputies criticising the British attitude. The correspondent explains that Curtins was referring to the increase of British safeguarding duties, and extension of merchandise marks regulations since the treaty was negotiated in 1924, when Britain was virtually free trade. Germans now complain that they'granted Britain the most favoured nation treatment for nothing, and declare complaints hav\e been useless. The treaty* cannot be denounced until 1929.
