Replying to a question in the Commons Mr Mitchell Thompson said he was considering the inclusion ol television in the existing radio legislation, though experts advised it was still in tin experimental stage. Mr Kenworthy enquired why Britain had not ratified the convention prohibiting the war time use of asphyxiating poison gases, in the view of the Fre n ch-Ve n ezuel a n ratification. Mr Baldwin said the Ministry felt it ought to secure the ratification of other countries. Mr Churchill replying to a question said he could not. sav when lie would he able to make a definite statement on the restoration of the penny postage hut the time for making a definite statement would he the introduction of the Budget.
