WELLINGTON, Feb. 18. At the inquest on the death Thomas George Needham, a carric who died on February 11th. followii a collision between a horse and ea and a tram in Tinakori road. Dr Lyn gave his opinion that death was d to injuries to the chest and liver, ooi plicated by pneumonia, which arose the result of-the chest injuries. A post-mortem examination show that eight ribs had been fractured. The machine can land at 40 miles an hour and climb 6o()ft. in one minute. A Alotli two-seater holds the world’s light aeroplane altitude record of j 17.289 feet. BODY FOUND IN LUPINS. DUNEDIN. Feb. 19. On Saturday afternoon, the I tody of a man who has been identified as William Jenkins, widower of Alandeville, was found on a track at the luips near St. Kilda. There was nothing to show the cause of death. The man had been dead only a short time when found. An inquest will he held to-morrow.
