ADOINCTON STOCK SALES. CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 16. At Addington stork sales on Wednesday there was a very large entry of porkprs, probably a record for toe cards. The market for porkers openid weakly, but firmed up towards the ?iul. A good many of the porkers ,vere sought by farmers for fattening. Fhe exporters also operated in tbe jork .section. There was a small entry >f baconers .and prices firmed on late •ates The entry included a good many >igs of fair quality from the West .'oast and Southland. Fatteners were Iso represented. Values were: Clioplers £2 to £8 l&s 6d. light porkers Ms to Ids. heavy porkers 12s to 4.55, leav.v porkers 42s to 16s. average price ler lli. 6d to 1 ight baconers 60s ■i 665. heavy baconers 06s t i 72s Od. verage price per lb. Id to 6ld. Tbere was again a large entry of tore pigs. 'Hie bidding throughout as not, keen, and prices were inclined a lie lower than they were at the preions sale, more especially for woaners. 'aln.es were: Weaners 9s to 14s. slips s to 12s, small stores 14s to 18s. meium stores 19s to 24.5. extra large to Os. In the fat sheep section 1.8 were sold t 22s 4cl for .1. Donovan (Oknrito).
