EVERYBODYS PICTURES. “THE BAD LANDS ” —TO-NIGHT. Few directors liave directed as many famous actors and actresses as Dell Henderson, who held the megaphone in “ The Had Lands,” the Hunt Stromliero supervised production which will lie shown to-night at the Princess Theatre. Gloria Swanson, Lillian and Dorothy Gish, Lew Cody, Doris Kenyon and Johnny Hines have all come under his direction. Henderson, who felt the call of the stage when he was studying for the priesthood in Upper C anada College, ran away and soon attained prominence as a leading man. filially ending up with Lillian Bussell in " Wildfire.” Then Biograph claimed him for pictures, where he advanced from leading man to director. Triangle, Fox and Famous-Players L'' C v have all produced films under his tion. Henderson states that Mat’"* Carey, star ol “'I he Bad Lands,” is the most satisfactory actor he has ever directed because of his acting ability and real western type. Carey too attained fame behind the footlights before appearing on the screen, and the two have much in common. Others in the cast of “ The Bad Lands,” which is released through Producers’ Distributing Corporation, are r l rilby Clark. AA ih I’red Lucas, Lee Sliumwny, Gaston Glass, Buck Blaek and .Joseph Hickson The first chapter of the new serial Strings of Steel.” starring William Desmond, will also he shown, and a topical and two-reel comedy.
