The reading at 9 a.m. to-day was 30.42—n0 movement. The reading at 9 a.m. yesterday was 30.40—n0 movement. The reading on the dial printed below was taken at 12 noon to-day.
UNION COMPANY’S LINE. The Kaiapoi is due at Greymoutli to-night from Wanganui to load timber for Miramar, also timber and coal for Wellington. The Kittawa is due at Grevinouth about Thursday from Westport to load coal for New Plymouth, also timber and general cargo for Miramar and Wellington. The Kaimai left Greymoutli yesterday afternoon for Wellington and returns to Greymoutli about the latter end of the week to load coal for the same port. The Knituna left Wellington last night and leaves New Plymouth tonight arriving at Greymoutli on Thursday and after discharging inward cargo loads coal for Auckland.
