EVERYBODYS PICTURES, MARION DAY!MS IX “ THE Li 10D MILL TO-XJGHT. I lio lied Mill,” Marion Davies’ in uch-lie rallied new starring vehicle, film version of the famous musical comedy by Victor Herbert and Henry Blossom, lives up to all its promises. It will lie shown at the Princess Theatre. 1 lie new Metrn-Ooldwyn-Mayer picture proves that the lighisome plays ol yore are just as gripping and charming as any other. It shows Marion Davies in a new role—one different from she ever has attempted; more alluring. more charming and probably the most entertaining of her career. Miss Davies’ whimsical comedy talents find a ready opportunity in this romance of the Land of Tulips; she romps through a charming role in pigtails and wooden shoes, dainty as a painted figure on a hit of Holland china. .She does some acting that reaches the heights of genius in dramatic moments with George Siegman, the villain of the new play; her love scenes with Owen Monro are romantically delicate. A notable cast supports Mi-.s Davies in the new picture. It is a story of love and adventure in llollanil. A spectacular winter festival, a great church scene, a stirring adventure in boats on a canal in a Dutch village arc all interesting high lights in the production, together with eerie iueidcuts in a weird haunted mill. Owen Moore plays the Irish lover of the Dutch heroine; George Siegman. tne villainous (Tide Willem ; and Karl Dane and Louise fazenda make a hilarious comedy pair, aided and abetted by Snftz Eduard-, Russell Powell as the burgomaster. William Orlamoiul as the aged Dutch Governor, and I l 'red. Gambold as a iptccr Dutch innkeeper. A topical, scenic and comedy will also be included in to-night’s entertainment.
