REGINA IjD DENNY IX “CHEERFUL FRAU D”—TO-XIG HT

Lot the hist tune since lie has hecn playing on the screen, Reginald Denny has opportunity to play one of his own countrymen in “The Cheerful Fraud, - ’ the Universal-Jewel • farce comedy feature which is the current attraction at the Princess Theatre' tonight. Although Denny is probably the most typical Englishman in Mollywood with an accent that is as typi cally British as a London fog, he has never before appeared in any of his farce comedies as anything but a young American. “The Cheerful Fraud” however, is all concerned with England and Denny’s name in the picture is Sir .Michael Fairlie. Denny delighted with tlie idea of making for once, an Enklish picture with real English atmosphere and worked with William A. Seitei, the director, on assembling sets and props which would he entirely in harmony with tile locale of the story. ‘“The Cheerful Fraud" is based on a popular humourous novel by K. It, G. Browne, and was adapted to tlie screen by William A. Seiler and Harvey Tliew. Gertrude 01mstead. who played opposite Denny in “California Straight Ahead,” one of the most popular pictures, portrays the feminine lead. Emily Fitzroy, Gertrude Astor, Otis Harlan. Charles Gerrar and others are prominent ■in the supporting cast.

Further chapters of the popular “Collegians,” a two reel Comedy and a Topical will also he shown in tonight’s grand display.
