MURDER CHARGE.
BRISBANE, Feb. 4. As the result of a fracas at Injune, near Roma, Fred Turvey was killed and Charles Turvey seriously injured. The police proceeded to the scene with a doctor and arrested a man on a charge of murder.

Mr. Reynolds principal of the Ootnrio Agriculture College at Guelph, conferred to-day with Mr. Martin, the Minister of Agriculture, as to disciplinary measures to prevent a. recurrence of such incidents as the “ragging” of Mr Beddoes, the student from Wimbledon, S.W., who was exhibited in a crate in a street by his fellow-students.
ilr Reynolds has written to Mr loxon, the Ontario Agent-General in London, asking him to take steps t<> assure the British public that the affair was not in the slighest degree a manifestation of ill-feeling on the part of Canadians against Englishmen, and stating that 'English students “have brought their own atmosphere and their own college traditions and have attempted to put them into practice here.” A resolution adopted by the entire student body expresses regret at the “ragging” of Mr Beddoes and expresses appreciation of his attitude.
