A BOXING STORY TO-NIGHT,
Rillv Sullivan, one of the screen’s best-known juveniles, will be seen at the Princess Theatre, in “The GoatGetter” a now Harry Brown-Raynrt comedy drama directed by Albert Rogell. for the first time to-night. Young Sullivan will be remembered with pleasure by Hokitika audiences for his excellent work in the Feather Pusher stories and the “Past Stepper” series, in both of which lie was recently starred by Universal. He is generally accorded by critics to be one of the most talented and hard working boxers that the screen has ever known. Added to this big' asset, is the fact that young Sullivan’s acting is invariably characterised by a very real sincerity—which alone is enough to account for his ever-increasing popularity. This last Master Picture- release of Billy Sullivan’s is said to have a cast of unusual excellence. Johnny Sinclair, well-known as a funny man, plays the role of “ Pie Eye” Pickens, the faithful pal who struggles valiantly by Billy’s side through all the hardships which they encounter in the course of their long and dusty ride from Billy's home to Hollywood, whither they pursue Lightning Bradley, the lightweight champion. Billy is determined to prove to himself anti the Sporting World—and, tor the matter of that, the rest ol the world, ton—that he can lick the champ. How he finally accomplishes this after many hitter disappointments is said fo comprise one of the sprightHost, comedy-dramas ever flashed on a silver sheet. Others prominent in the support of the star tire Kathleen Myers sis a movie star, Virginia Vance as a thoroughly up-to-date" flapper, and William Buckley, as the champion’s manager. The sLory was written by Grover Jones, who also wrote “ The Fear Fighter,” another .Master Picture release in which young Sullivan starred. The latest in topieals and a good two reel comedy complete the display tonight.
