Mussolini. A statement by George Bernard Shaw, tile great British dramatist and Socialist, favourable to the Mussolini regime in Italy, was an event so snaking and so unexpected—from such a source —that it attracted the attention of the Press of the world. In an article in the “Manchester Guardian” on October 13th. Shaw said that “Mussolini’s policy must he judged objectively. All revolutions were attended by occurrences distasteful to humanitarian feeling, but one had to take (he Fascist Revolution as a fact, recognise that it was accepted by the broad mass of the Italian tieople, and that it was proceeding in several respects along lines advocated by Socialists in all countries.”
