WEDDING BELLS
BJIL' CJi —JOHNSTON. A very pretty wedding was eclehi.ited at the Presbyterian Church, Inglewood, says the New Plymouth “Herald” of the 14th. inst. "hen Kna Shaw Johnston. the youngest daughter of Mr Alex Johnston Durham lload. was married to Wallace, son of Mr T. W. Bruce, of Hokitika. The Rev. W. Boyd officiated. The bride, who was given away bv her father, looked charming in a handsome frock of white georgette with overdress of silver lace. She wort a coronet of orange blossom amt embroidered veil. Her sister Catherine who attended her as bridesmaid, wore a pretty can do nil chiffon taffeta frocks with spnshes of heliotrope. The best man was Mr Harvey Johnst-on. cousin of the bride After the ceremony a reception was held in the hall adjoining the church, when a large number of guests assembled, and the usual toasts were honoured. The table decorations were extremely pretty, being carried out with pink sweet peas, larkspur and asparagus fern. Miss Johnston, aunt of the bride, received her guests in a very striking gown of Caret crepe de chine with touches of beige, and pretty hat to match. Her bo tuple was of pink sweet peas. The happy counle left by motor for a tour of the North Island, the bride travelling in a smart frock of powder blue c-repe de. chine, with hat, shoes and stockings en suite. Many cheques and presents were received from all parts of the Dominion.
