Rivet ol's of a company of so-called wholesale manufacturers of brandy at Coblenz have been arrested and charged with defrauding the revenue by extracting alcohol front a patent motor spirit containing a high percentage of alcohol, says the Cologne correspondent of “The Times.” It was thereafter labelled “brandy” and sold it one-fifth of the price of the best genuine brandy. The company’s activities nre apnarently widespread, covering the entire Rhineland.
