SWIMMING CARNIVAL

ANOTHER DISTINCT SUCCESS

The second of the series ol night swimming carnivals under the auspices of the Hokitika Amateur Swimming Cluli took place last evening at the Municipal Baths under very pleasant conditions and proved another iei\ distinct success There was a large attendance present, the night was warm and the baths well lit up by electric light, while the competition in the various events was good and the racing well contested. The various officials were very attentive, and event followed event rapidly. The Municipal Band was present and pliiveil a number of selections nrior to the commencement of the sports.
