A Bio Pool.. In the course of a speech given at a luncheon which followed the launch of the new Canadian Pacific passenger and cargo liner Duchess of Atholl, Lord Montrose, director of William Benrdmore and Co., Ltd, suggested a pooling of the ship-building resources on the Clyde, thus preventing a vast amount of extravagance and waste. They should also, he said, he able to buy raw material in hulk wholesale, anil would thus be enabled to allocate all work obtained to tlie yards most- suitable for carrying it out. He had made this gesture with, be felt, the full approval of the chairman and his colleagues on the hoard, and if that gesture was received with sympathv in other places he still looked for a bright future for shipbuilding on the Clyde,
