EVERYBODYS PICTURES.

“ HOGAN’S ALLEY ” TO-NIGHT. “ Hogan’s Alley,” a .Master Picture, tlie screen version of Gregory Rogers’ tlirillingly entertaining story of life on tlie East Side of old New York, of tlio conflict between young love and wealtii, has been picturized by Mainer Bros., and opened to-night at the Princess Theatre. .Monte Blue, the star, appeal's as n young Irish pugilist, the idol of the alley, and Patsy Ruth Miller as the pig-tailed terror with whom he falls in love. Willard Louis is a eomedie treat as her old Irish father, and liOui.se Fazenda more amusing than ever as a saucy Broadwayite. The remainder of the east is consistently excellent, and iho direction of Boy Del Ruth has intensified the thrills, drama and pathos of this comedy-melodrama, which makes one of the best photoplays of the season. The heartbeat of gen 7 nine “ folks ” throbs through the story of Patsy Ryan and Lefty O’Brien, who live in ‘‘ Hogan's Alley ” and savor life in all the crude, raw reality of its different moods. Patsy becomes confused by the contradictory and artificial ways of society, when a suave doctor becomes infatuated with her untutored loveablehcss, and cunningly plots to get her for himself. But Patsy and Lefty are simple, sincere people, and they go hack to the joys of “ Hogan’s Alley.” together. With Monte Blue as its star and a brilliant supporting cast, this production ranks among the best of tin season’s photoplays and is crammed with thrills, drama, and humour that make the East Side so fascinating a study.

A topical scenic and comedy v complete a fine programme to-night
