BUTTERFLIES IN THE It AIN —TO-NIGHT.

A fascinating, exciting story of the upper strata of society in England will occupy the screen of the Princess Theatre to-night when’ “ Butterflies in the Rain ”is shown. To Laura La Plante goes grateful praise for a perfect characterization of the English girl. Laura with her beautiful dimples, her Monde hair and her sparkling live eyes, takes another step up the ladder of popular acclaim for her work in this picture. She has been leaping forward at greatly accelerated speed during the past year and this picture presents her at her most graceful, her most beautiful, and shows her to be the vivacious actress we have always known her to he. .James Kirkwood, as the staid lover, gives a natural characterization, for which lie, too, deserves praise. Kirkwood is especially good in this type of role and is the kind that girls worship—strong, virile, and lend only by the highest ideals of action. Edward Slomau did an excellent piece of directing and gets this month’s laurel wreath for his efforts toward the betterment of motion pictures. A good supporting programme, including a topical and comedy, and further chapters of the serial " Fighting With Buffalo Bill,” will also lie shown.
