.FARMER'S PARTY. LONDON, -Tan. 18. The proceedings at the annual meeting of the National Fanners’ Union indicated that possible developments, similar to Australia’s, by the creation of a separate Farmers’ Party. The Union decided to. instruct the Council to consider seriously the selecting and supporting of independent agricultural candidates at the General Election, and ordered the preparation of a concise policy statement for a propaganda campaign. It was revealed that the Union had already £ll,-500 as a nucleus for a political fund.
