The only AA'o.xt Coast rink to get into the jxist sectional play at the New Zealand tournament was AA'hibley (Grey mouth). The results of the play in the sectional play of the Coast rinks were:— AA’hibley (Grey) 7 wins. 2 losses. AleTvay (Grey) 5 wins, 4 losses. Steer (Grey) 2 win, 7 losses. Hayward (Hokitika) 3 wins. 6 losses. Afunson (Runanga) 2 wins. 7 losses.

The bowling tournaqtent was continued to-day in fine weather. The post-sectional play in the rinks championship commenced on the St. Albans and Sydenham greens, play being conducted under the automatic draw system. preference of byes, when necessary. being given to two-lifers. In the post sectional play in the rinks championship, twenty-five rinks were eligible but at the etui of the day’s play, the number was reduced to eighteen, those eliminated being Sampson (Tiniaru), Effort! (I'.dgeware). Lomas (Kelburn), Ferguson (Balmacewan), Adams (Blenheim). Atkinsbn (United). Gilbert (Seatown). Whibley (Greymouth). West (Christchurch). .Marks (United). Smith (Dunedin). The pair’s tournament will commence to-morrow. TO-DAY’S GAMES. CHRISTCHURCH. Jan. 16. To-morrow the doubles competition, for which 208 pairs have entered, will be commenced on seventeen greens, and it will be continued on Wednesday, when tin endeavour will be made to find green winners where possible. The post-sectional play in the rinks competition will bo continued on Thursday. Those still left in the singles and pairs competitions will he matched against one another on Ihursdny, provided they are not engaged also in the rinks championship. WEST COAST TOURNAMENT. A total of 26 rinks and 62 pairs have been entered lor the Most Coast touinament at Greymouth commencing on February fitb.
