WARATAHS BEATEN. far TELEGRAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] PARIS, Jan. 12. South-west France defeated the Wnratahs by 19 to 10. PARIS, Jan. 12. The Wnratahs were beaten in a fast keen game, in which the Frenchmen's dash and speed, particularly of the back divison kept the Waratalis on tenderhooks from the start. The Frenchmen overcame the handicap of losing the scrums by good combined work in which A. Belioteguy was most prominent. The line was always in danger when he had possession. In the second half, the Wnratahs started well and hammered away with their usual vigor, but could not break the French defence.
