BOY’S DEATH. OTAKI. Jan. 13
Bohbv Mason, the 7-year old grandson of the Mayor of Otaki, J. P- Brandon, fell from a bicycle yesterday and cut his leg. He was admitted to the hospital, but later died.
illegal liquor dealing. AUCKLAND, Jan. 13. Mathew Guy, an elderly man was fined £2o for being found at Mt. Albert Roa'd in possession of apparatus for distilling or rectifying spirit, without a license. He was also fined £o for sly A. g r og selling in Mt. Roskill no license district. _ Peters and William Pratt were each fined £2 for being found on premises t for the purpose of illegal dealing in liquor.
