ELECTROCUTED.
INQUEST VERDICT. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Jan. 11. An inquest to ascertain the cause of death of Maurice Robinson Haile, engine driver, employed at the time of his demine (Sunday, December 13) by the Waikato Valley Dairy Cor, was held to-day, before the District Coroner, Mr AVyvern "Wilson, S.M. Deceased was found in a- dying condition on the floor of the factory, and there was sonic doubt ns to whether death had resulted from heart
failure, or electrocution. Alexander Murdieh Bellamy, Electrical Inspector, said that on rhe morning following the fatality, 1c had inspected the Waikato Valley Dairy Company’s Eactorv. Jf c tested the flexible cord of a lamp and found that the flexible cord wi, making contact with the brass socket of ibe lamp. A bolder of that would came the defect, and it was liable !o give a person touching the copper shield of the portable lamp, a shock. The coroner said there were two unsatisfactory features about the case. Ibe first was that, the apparatus was interfered with by a perso i unqualified to interfere with it. an 1 who left it in a somewli ,t dangerous condition.
