TASMAN FLIGHT
(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) SYDNEY, Jan. if. The aviators, Knight, Hood, and Aloncrieff, express satisfaction with their monoplane, and anticipate no difficulty about the Tasman flight. They intend, to take no risks, and will not hop off until all conditions are absolutely in their favour. They anticipate leaving about two in the morning, and landing at Wellington at six in the evening, or thereabouts. They will head direct to Farewell Spit. The aviators are almost certain to ho Mpnerieff and Hood. Both these men speak most highly of Knight’s organisation and the arrangements made with the Australian Government. Knight says that everything has gone smoothly from the jump. The mechanics arc now working on the machine, and making it as per feet as possible for the epic flight.
