ADDINGTON STOCK SALES. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 4. A~t Addington stock sales to-day the following were the ruling prices:— Store Sheep.—A fair entry and good sale. .Mostly dry sheep. Best wethers to 27s 9d, medium 21s to 24s (id; others to 18s; rape lambs 21s 6d to 24s 7d ; old owes 10s to 13s; good woolly owe hoggets to 38s 9d; good two-tooth ewes to 27s ; four and six-tooth crossbred ewes 21s to 28s Od.
licet. —A large yarding, about 500 bead. Market easier in all classes; not many steers offering. Prime steers £l4 to £lO 10s, extra to £lB 12s Od, medium £lO 10s to £l3 15s, others to £3 15s, best heife'rs £9 to £ll 15s, others to £5 17s Gd, prime cows £8 10s to £l2 2s Od, medium £6 15s to £8 ss, others to £4 15s. Fat Lambs.—A smaller entry, about 1500. Evidently butchers have sufficient requirements on band; and in face of over-all prices being down Jd. Prices were decidedly easier, but were still up to schedule rate. Fat Sheep.—A smaller yarding than last week, and quality generally irregular. .Market opened fairly firm, hut M.s sale proceeded cased somewhat and exporters were able to operate. There was an averag drop of about Is 0(1 l-elow last week, best wethers 31s (id to 355, medium 20s 0d to 31s, lighter 24s to 20s, best ewes 24s to 27s Od, extra to 32s 10(1, medium ISs Od to 23s od. others to 14s.
Store Cattle.—A small entry. No quotable lines ofiered. pigs. Eat pigs. A small entry, but no improvement in price. Choppers £‘2 5s to £3 12s Od, light bacon £2 10s to £2 17s od, heavy to £3 Bs. Average 4jd to old. Porkers, light 30s to 28s, heavy 40s to 525. Average 6d to 7d. Stores.—A large yarding. Poor sale. Small weaners 8s to. 13s medium 14s Od t„ 17s 6d, slips 14s to 18s, medium stores l!!s to 225. better 23s to 27s od, extra, good to 325.
