HOKITIKA SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4th. The Committee met at 8.40 p.m. Present: —Uev. J. W. Hayward (Chairman), Messrs Richards, Clarke, Shannon, Redder and Conning (hon. sec.). The minutes were confirmed and correspondence approved. INWARD CORRESPONDENCE. From Borough Council referring request of Blackball picnic committee for requirements; also stating the tarsealing at the school would receive attention.—Received. From Grey Jubilee Committee, suggesting that in lieu of the schools excursion taking place on the Bth, that the excursion bo postponed until the ‘-9th February, Jubilee children’s day. and enclosing programme for Jubilee week.—Received. Mr Richards moved that the Committee accede to the request and the excursion be field on February 29th. Seconded by -Mr Redder and carried. The Chairman and Secretary were appointed collectors for the picnic fund. A bonus of £lO was granted to the Ca retaker. Accounts as scheduled were passed for payment. The Visiting Committee’s report was received. Messrs C'oulson and Clarke were appointed visitors. The Committee rose at 9.10 p.m.
