Eagleton, Clark) defeated Hamilton. In .the* rink championship. New Zealand was defeated. NEW ZEALANDERS’ TOUR. MELBOURNE, Jan. 4. Ihe hitcr-Stiitc-Dominion matches resulted: New Zealand 92, West Australia 92. There were four rinks:--Hunt, 'Watson, Hazleton. Clark (New Zealand) 22 defeated West Australia 15; West Australia 39 defeated Wheeler, Strahan, Farrow, Hobday (New Zealand) 26; West Australia. 22 defeated C’oklwater, A. McGregor, Rudd. Thomas West (New Zealand) 20; West Australia 25 defeated Short, Drummond, Coldwater, L. Hills (New Zealand) 24, after an exciting finish. The games were even throughout. New Zealand was one up at the finish of play of three' rinks, and with Hill's rink in play, two up. At b. e start, West Australia bowled well. Hill’s rink twice averted defeat by making dead ends. A drawn game was mado hv the last howl of West’s skipper.
