tAustralian A N.Z. Cable Association.) FURTHER CHAOS. SHANGHAI, Jan. 4. Information has reached here that three hundred White Russians, members of the Northern army, and three foreign priests, whose nationality is unknown, are besieged at Weihaiweffu, a small city north of Honan, as a consequence of the recent fighting. Their plight is terrible, according to messengers who arrived at Peking. They are fodoless. The city is desolated. Gunfire from the Southern artillery demolished a missionary children’s school. One missionary perised in the flames. Only two water-wells are producing water fit to drink for supply fifteen thousand residents. Prominent houses are daily targets for gunfire.
