The tide at Wilhelmshaven dislodged an ice floe in the harbour, on which seven children were playing, and a swift current carried the Hoe out to sea. Every attempt at rescue so far lias failed. The battleship Sehlesien with a number of tugs, with blazing searchlights, sailed in pursuit, and portable lights were mounted at Jade Bay on the coast. The cries of the children were heard two hours after the mishap. There are now only faint hopes of rescue. CHILDREN RESCUED.

(Received this day at 8 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 5. Wilhelmshaven children were rescued after drifting four hours.
