COUNT CAVOUR’S FALL. AUCKLAND. Aan. 3.
Following on the. inquiry into the tailing of Count Cavour in the A.R.C. Handicap yosteiday. the mvior. Mr Barrett, charged R. Reed, rider of Star StraiiL-'r. with deliberate fouling. The stewards found that the evidence did not sustain the charge. They found that the falling of Mundane. Count Cavour and Transformer, was caused by Scat accidentally rolling on to another jioisc next to him. causing the latter to he pushed on to the horses next the rails. They found that the fall was accidental.
