Barleel (Auckland) and J. T. Laui'cnson (Waikato). Ladies’ singles: Aliss Al. Spoil's Canterbury). Ladies’ doubles; AI i's Adams anil Aliss Tracy (Wellington). .Mixed doubles: Aliss Tracy and N. ]{. Wilson (Wellington). Boy’s singles: 11. A. Barrett (Canterbury). Girl’s singles: Aliss X. Fleming (Otago). .New Zealand Plate: (’. Angas (Can-

terburi-y). Canterbury therefore secured tile Anthony Wilding Cup with seven points, Auckland one. Otago one, and Waikato one. The best, match to-day was that between Ollivicr and Bartleet for the men’s singles championship. Ollivcier won the first and third sets, anil Bartleet the second and fourth sets. Then came and exciting struggle for the fifth set. Ollivicr got il at 9-7. He had been bard pressed. Miss Speirs beat Aliss Knight in two sets with the greatest ol ease. She was superior all through. A live set match in the men’s doubles (inml ended in l.aurenson and Bartleet defeating Knott and Sturt. Over anxiety spoiled the combination ol the latter pair. At first, Sturt was off colour and then Knott fell away. Lauienson’s steadiness was remarkable. Aliss AYilson and Tracy played brilliantly in the mixed doubles final,.and though down four games to five in the third set, stuck to their guns and collared the next three games.
