AVlien asked by a Los Angeles detective if he ever killed anyone besides w-nrion Parker, Hickman replied: “I killed Ivy Thomas, a Pasadcn a druggist, while Willoughby Hunt and myself were bolding up bis place on ’Xmas Eve last year.” The police immediately arrested Hunt who strenuously denied the crime. Hickman recalled details of the shootand declared Hunt was wounded vr a policeman while fleeing from him. The gaol physician examining Hunt found a bullet scar on the shoulder. later confessed, but claimed Hickman fired the fatal shot.
