EVERYBODYS’ PICTURES “ Tills) ICE FLOOD ” —KiII.DAY. On Friday at the Princess Theatre, \ iola. Dana and Kenneth Harlan are co-starred in a big Universal-Jewel production "The Ice Flood.” Kenneth Harlan, who plays the featured masculine role in " Jhe Lee Flood,”' has had experience on both the stage and the screen, and is easily one of the most popular leading men in pictures. Me was horn in New A’ork City, and graduated from Columbia University. After completing his education he went on tlio stage, and has never been identified with any other profession. On the stage lie played opposite Gertrude Hoffman in “The Fortune Hunter,” and was featured in several other plays, then joined the Hollywyood picture colony. He starred in “ The Broken AVing,” “ The Virginian ” and other pictures, and has played leads in scores of successful productions. Viola Dana, - featured feminine player in
“ The fee Flood.” was horn in Brooklyn, New York, and educated in New York. She spent several years on the New York stage, playing in “ Hip Van Winkle,” “The Littlest Bohol,” “ The Poor Little Rich Girl,” and other plays. She won almost instantaneous success on the screen when she left the stage, and for several years was starred by the- Aletro company, some of her best known starring pictures being " Rouged Lips,” “ Glass Houses,”
" The Five Dollar Baby.” She decided to leave her light comedy starring roles for more serious work, however, and is now a •" Iree-lanee.” Tier recent pictures have been “Winds of Chance,” "Merten of the .Movies,” “Open All Night,” and others. A topical, comedy, and further chapters of “ Fighting AVith Buffalo Bill,” will complete the display on Friday.
