(Australian & N.Z. Cabin. Association.) MELBOURNE. Dec. 28. In the bowls singles championship. O. Piper, the only Non Zealander remaining in the event, has successfully competed in six rounds. \ T . Casey of the New Zealand howls team dislocated his shoulder while attempting to board a suburban train. In the seventh round. A. Oastler (Victoria) 22. defeated C. Piper (New Zealand) 15. It was a splendid game. Oastler led 8 3, then Piper drew to 15—13. The New Zealander played short heads. Oastler is the present Australasian Champion, and is fancied for the final. HU delivery is perfect.
