DEATH WHILE BATHING. TEMARU, Dec. 26. Frederick Sliiels, aged sixty-eight, a plasterer, died suddenly when bathing in the shallow water at Caroline Bay. to-day. Following dinner on the bay, lie went into the sea. and it is supposed that lie was seized by cramp. There were hundreds of near-by bathers and assistance was promptly given, but all resuscitation efforts were fruitless. The deceased was a married man. with a grown-up family, and a local resident.
