PARKER TRAGEDY
HUNT FOR SUSPECT. (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) NEW YORK, Dec. 22. A message from Seattle, states the greatest man hunt in the history of the State of Washington is being carried on for the suspected murderer of Marion Parker. Since youth, resembling the suspect, purchased clothing here and made a payment with a twenty dollar 'bill, which has been identified as one of those given by Parker to the kidnapper ,the entire Seattle police force with County officers and highway patrolmen have searched hotels and rooming houses in a virtual house to house canvass. Five bridges, which are the only exits from the City are heavily policed, and every outgoing automobile is being stopped and searched. It is now learned that the suspect cashed a second 20 dollar hill of the ransom money last night at Kent, Washington, fifteen miles south of Seattle. Meantime the clerk of the .hotel Astoria (Oregon)y reported a man resembling the suspect registerd there before daybreak. He appeared tired and nervous. He left the hotel at six in the morning, saving lie was going to meet a friend, but -failed to return.
