Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) N.Z. SWIMMING ASSN. CHRISTCHURCH. Dec. 23. At a meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Council, the amateur Swimming Union of Australia wrote, inviting Miss E. Stockley, of Auckland, to accompany Miss Kathleen Miller, of Dunedin, to visit Australia to compete in the New South Wales Championship. The Secretary reported that Miss Stooklev had accepted the invitation. r An appeal was received from the Pon son by Club against the decision of the Auckland Centre in adopting the rule that fixed amounts are to be paid by club men Piers by way of club sul>scriptions. The club claimed that the rule was ultra vires. It was decided that the appeal lie upheld.
INVITATION ACCEPTED. AUCKLAND. Dec. 23. Miss Ena Stockley, the New Zealand hundred yards lady swimming champion has accepted an invitation from the N.S.W. Ladies’ Amateur Swimming Association to again visit Australia in February with Miss Kathleen Miller of Dunedin. In 1925 Miss Stockley won the 103 yards free-style and hack-stroke championships of Australia, and established a new record for file latter,
