EVERYBODYS’ PICTURES “ THE CANYON OF LIGHT ” -TO-NIGHT. Tom Mix hits the role of Tom Aljlls, army captain ill the French battle front sequences that figure in “ The Canyon of Light,” the cowboy star's latest Fox Films thriller, which will hr shown at the Princess Theatre to-night. Many of the scenes were filmed in Yellowstone National Park and the picture has all the dash, colour and drama ol the West which mark Mix screen dramas. The range hears the call to arms and the host blood of the ‘'lighting West” answers for overseas. Tin Westerners capture the enemy key position, but Captain Mills’ buddy falls during the attack, just alter writing home in praise of Mills. When Ik lands in America he receives a letter inviting him to visit the parents of his slain buddy. .Mills returns to his native town to find vigilantes organised to curb desperadoes led by his brother-in-law. He finds his sister dying at the moment the vigilantes are ready to hang her husband. Mills answers her pleas and tricks the vigilance committee, lie frees his brother-in-law and gives him his own horse so he can return to his dying wife. The desperado, instead'of going homes, dashes to " The Canyon of Light,” his gang’s lair. After his sister's death, Mills has the vigilantes pretend to hang him and outlaw spies carry the news of this to the chief. The desperadoes find the letter of invitation and go to the ranch for a fiesta, expecting to loot the place. Mills had expected this and when lie arrives there the desperado persuades the rancher he is an impostor. Mills is imprisoned hut escapes too late to pro

vent the robbery and abduction of the rancher’s daughter. He follows the gang to a Ghost City, an abandoned mining town, and after every building in the place is wrecked during the tight the desperado leader is overcome. Dorothy Dwan has the leading feminine role, while other well-known players indude lialph Sipperly, William Walling. Carl Miller, Harry Norton, Duke Lee, and Carmelita Gcraghty. Further chapters of the new serial, " Fighting with Buffalo Bill,” will be shown to-night.

FULLER’S VAUDEVILLE. GEORGE WALLACE REVUE CO. George Wallace, the brilliant young Australian comedian, and his popular Revue Company will play here at the I’rineessTheatre on Eridny, December ‘Jib'd. There is no more successful or popular artist on the vaudeville stage than this diminutive comedian, who has a happy knack of adding humour to humorous situations, and his clever farce revue provides an abundance of opportunities for his revelry. Those who witness the production ■‘Off Honolulu” will easily understand how George Wallace earned the title of “ King of Comedians.” There is not a dull minute in the programme, which guarantees two and a-half hours if side-splitting comedy by George and his clever company of twenty first-class artists, including a ballet of more than average merit.
