A RAH UK A STOCK SALE. The Christmas fixture at the above yards was held yesterday when 7!) lambs, 1(1 sheep and 54 head of cattle were submitted to auction. There was a moderate attendance of buyers piesent, with the result that competition was restricted to actual requirements for the trade at this period of tile year. The hot weather militated against heavy cattle with the natural consequence that some pens of this class of beef were passed at the opening of the sale though subsequently sold at satisfactory rates. The yarding of Air N. Friend, as also that of Mr \V. Adamson were especially prime, top price for two of the latter’s bullocks being Lit). Prices on the whole were little below those of the last sale at these yards, the drop being confined to heavy cow beef. .Messrs W. .Jeffries and Co. sold as follows:—On account Mrs M.
