MR AMERY ON TOUR

(By Telegraph.—Per Press Association.) ROTORUA, Dec. 19. 31r Amery and party, since arrival on Sunday, have spent a busy time visiting the Wliakarewarewa Forest •Service Nurseries, and Fairy Springs. They lunched with the Rotary Club, where 31,r Amery gave an impressive address on Imperial aims, immigration, the beauty of the scenery of New Zealand and also of England. The Dominion had the greatest variety of any country he had visited. On the eve of his departure, he wished New Zealand health, wealth, and happiness. 'flic party attended a Maori entertainment in the King’s Theatre this afternoon, and were greatly delighted. It was the finest entertainment they had seen. 3lr Amery was presented with a tiiiha arid a walking stick, and Mrs Amery with a woven headband. The party left by the afternoon train for Auckland. A FAREWELL MESSAGE. AUCKLAND, Dee. 20. Hon. L. C. Amery in a. farewell message states:—“l wish to say 1 have enjoyed every minute of my tour, and I think New Zealand is a glorious country. It has been a great joy to have spent much happy days among you New Zealanders. Though leaving by the Aorangi I hope it won’t he for over. To you all I extend happiest greetings for a merry Xmas' and a prosperous New Year.’’
